"It's not fun to shop for life insurance. It is, however, important to protect your family properly. Timeless is the only company I trust to properly protect my loved ones."

When it comes to protecting your family with life insurance, you need to be safeguarded just as much as they do. There are countless scams, misleading ads, and unlicensed “agents” online pretending to help veterans—many pushing overpriced or incomplete coverage. The VA recently introduced a new life insurance plan, but they don’t educate veterans about how it compares to private options or what’s best for your specific needs. That’s why it’s critical to work with a trusted, licensed agent who can walk you through every step, explain your choices clearly, and make sure your family is truly protected—not just sold a policy.

perspective
If I asked, “Do you want to protect your family now and after you’re gone?” You’d say “YES.”
But if I said, “Let’s talk life insurance,” you’d hang up or tell me off — and I wouldn’t blame you.
Here’s the truth: unless you’ve got stacks of cash saved, life insurance is the smartest way to protect your family from debt, final expenses, or losing their home.
The problem? Most people try to figure it out alone. Big mistake.
Because when you don’t buy the right insurance, GoFundMe ends up covering your funeral.
You just need the right team — one that’s proven they do right by veterans and always find the best coverage.
Lucky for you, you found them.

These Scams Are Why Families Lose Everything
tv ad traps
TV ad scams prey on trust and emotion. They use flashy promises, exaggerated guarantees, and “too good to be true” offers to hook viewers — especially seniors and veterans — into overpriced or misleading products.

social media scams
Social media is flooded with fake life insurance ads that look legit but are really data traps. They promise instant approval or “cheap coverage,” but most are scams designed to sell your info, not protect your family.

Mail Scams
Mail scams often look official using flags, seals, or “final notice” warnings, to pressure you into calling fake insurance hotlines. They’re designed to trick you into sharing personal information or buying overpriced policies that don’t exist.

email phishing
Email phishing scams pose as real insurance companies, using logos and urgent language like “update your policy” or “missed payment.” They trick you into clicking fake links or sharing personal info — giving scammers access to your identity, bank accounts, or Social Security number.

targeting veterans
Scammers often target veterans with fake “VA-approved” or “military benefit” life insurance offers. They exploit trust in the VA and use patriotic language or logos to appear legitimate — but the goal is to steal personal information or sell overpriced, low-quality policies.

click bait garbage
Clickbait life insurance ads flood social media with headlines like “Veterans Qualify Instantly” or “Government Program Ending Soon.” They use urgency and emotion to get clicks — but most lead to unlicensed agents, data harvesters, or overpriced policies.

What Is VA Life?
VA Life (Veterans Affairs Life Insurance) is a permanent whole life insurance program offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs. It was created to provide coverage for service-connected disabled veterans, replacing the older Service-Disabled Veterans Insurance (S-DVI) program.
Who’s Eligible
Any veteran age 80 or under with a VA-rated service-connected disability (0–100%) can apply.
-
There’s no medical exam or health questionnaire — approval is guaranteed if you meet the eligibility requirements.
-
Veterans over 80 may still qualify in some cases if they applied for VA disability before turning 81.
Coverage Amounts
-
You can choose coverage from $10,000 up to $40,000 in increments of $10,000.
-
The policy builds cash value over time, since it’s a whole life plan.
-
Premiums are based only on your age when you apply and remain the same for life.
Waiting Period
There is a two-year waiting period for non-accidental deaths.
If the insured passes away during that time, the beneficiary receives a refund of premiums paid plus interest, rather than the full death benefit.
Premium Payments
Premiums can be automatically deducted from VA compensation or paid monthly.
Because approval is guaranteed and the plan has no health screening, premiums are often higher than private policies for veterans in good health.
